I’m not sure what it is with me and whiskey. Maybe it’s the best way to reminisce about my time in Ireland, the late nights at the pub when impromptu music sessions would start and the air was filled with stories and laughter. There were drinks too, obviously, but the real intoxication was with life.

So it seems that a lot of blogs with the word milk in their title are pretty amazing, Carol Han’s is no exception. We love how she breaks down the stuffed bell pepper in easy steps and helps us all let go of any intimidation and conquer this artistic dish.

For all you husbands out there fretting over potentially cooking for Mother’s Day, put your worries aside! Bon Appétit was kind enough to create an easy and delish menu with step by step, detailed instructions so you can impress your lady and give her a day off. All that’s required is a little effort and we have a feeling it will go a long way. (And you can bond with your kids in the kitchen, it’s a win-win.) Have no fear, help is here.

Our friend Alexis is a serious domestic goddess. The girl sews, designs, throws one heck of a party and will keep you laughing all night. She’s also an amazing cook and has incredible recipes on her blog. (Do you remember this one we spotlighted during the holidays?) When we saw this post we knew we had to share, Alexis gives clear and easy step by step instructions so we can all get on the roasting bandwagon.

We love a good pie, especially the homemade kind. The LA Times food blog has a great article with some fantastic pizza recipes you can whip up at home. What a fun way to start the weekend! Pair with some tasty vino or beer and you’ll be living the good life.

We’re huge breakfast fans and when we rummaged the archives of Marci’s blog we found this gem of a recipe. Salad, eggs and some fabulous toasted bread make for a fun and diverse breakie but this dish is so versatile it can be made morning, noon or night.
