We’re big fans of musician-sister-babes, Haim and this new single has been on steady repeat since they shared this studio version yesterday. Like all of their music, it feels a little bit 70s and a little bit 90s… in all the right ways.

Our homies Portugal. The Man just released a new album, which was produced by hitmaker & Grammy-winner, Danger Mouse. It’s insanely good and you should buy it now. Check out the rad video for their song Atomic Man below, directed by David Vincent Wolf and edited by Nick Rosen.

As if the costumes (designed by Miuccia Prada!) and cast weren’t already enough of an excuse to get excited for the upcoming Baz Luhrmann-directed rendition of The Great Gatsby, now we’ve got a trailer with previews of the soundtrack in addition to a full list of songs. The trailer features Beyoncé and Andre 3000 covering Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black, Lana del Ray with a haunting new tune and a goosebump-inducing Florence + The Machine original. The star-studded soundtrack cast will also feature Bryan Ferry with The Bryan Ferry Orchestra, Jack White and the executive producer of the film, Jay Z. Talk about a serious summer blockbuster that we can’t wait to see… though we all agree that the original will be tough to beat!

The Victoria and Albert Museum in London has an incredible exhibit opening soon focused around the work of David Bowie. The exhibit “will explore the creative processes of Bowie as a musical innovator and cultural icon, tracing his shifting style and sustained reinvention across five decades” and will feature everything from handwritten lyrics and album artwork to costumes and photos. If you find yourself in London between March 23rd and August 11th, you MUST check out this exhibit. Read more here and pre-order the commemorative book here.

A few weeks ago, we snagged our girl Nicki Bluhm before her show at The Belly Up to get the inside scoop on her on-the-road fashion and beauty regimen… and because we like any excuse to hang out with her and The Gramblers. Check out the mini-mag feature below for all the details and head to the band’s website to find out when Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers will be singing tunes in your town.
