Summer is here and what better way to celebrate warm, sunny days of freedom than by winning this classic style skateboard for cruising around town? We’re giving away this Globe Bantam plastic cruiser in honor of Go Skateboarding Day, skateboarding’s official holiday. Held every year on June 21st (this coming Thursday), GSD “celebrates the pure exhilaration, creativity, and spirit of one of the most influential activities in the world … skateboarding.” We couldn’t agree more. So tell us in the comments below why you want to win this board for yourself (or someone else) and where you’d cruise around this summer.       This board is great! I would use it to cruise with our newest dog, a husky we adopted in January. She could pull me down our local bike path :)

      Did you know that there is a bike trail from Maine to Florida? Well, I’d like to ride this little skateboard in the Maine portion and pretend I was on my way to Florida.

      I would seriously love to win this board for my son. He’s super mad about boarding and lives and breathes it. So much so he has a broken arm right now!

      In 1976 I was five and my dad bought me my first skateboard from a place called fed-Mart. It was the 70s version of Target. It was a banana board colored blue. My heart soared as I rattled down the sidewalk in front of my house for the first time. That little blue piece of plastic set me on a journey that lasts to this very day. I know have a 6 year old daughter who is starting to skate and I would love to pass on the stoke of the plastic love that is this skateboard. :)

        My first skateboard was a Nash from Toys R Us and I was super embarrassed that I didn’t get one of the rad Vision ones I really wanted. Wish I still had that neon Nash board!
